I recently went to an event hosted by Alexis Felder of Lexiwiththecurls.com at Curltopia Salon in Smyrna, GA. The event was a Preview of Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls. PSC is a new styling lotion that borrows fabric care technology and marries it to haircare. If you don't want ramen noodle definition and instead want a larger, expanded, fluffy curl then Pillow Soft Curls may just work for you! PSC is perfect for achieving static-free, big, soft, curly hair.

Curltopia Salon is located in Smyrna, GA right off of I-285 and South Cobb Drive. Curltopia specializes in cutting, coloring, and styling techniques for all textures. Whether you have curly hair, are transitioning from relaxed hair, or you like keeping your curlies straight, Curltopia has many styling options for you. Some styles offered by Curltopia include: cuts, the Deva-cut, color, highlights, roller sets, blowouts, wash & wear, two strand twist, shingling, coils, straightening hair, flat-twists, roller-sets, rod-sets, straw sets, lock maintenance, relaxers, Keratin Smoother, and much more!
Alexis hosted a few Atlanta Bloggers to preview Miss Jessie's newest product Pillow Soft Curls. Bloggers varied from Natural Hair to Fashion to Beauty Bloggers. This presented an excellent opportunity to network over different genres of blogging. We were able to see two live demonstations on applying Pillow Soft Curls. The first model was Myisha who appeared to have 3c/4a hair like mine.

The Curltopia stylist used the Pillow Soft Curls on Myisha's wet hair. Pillow Soft Curls was applied section by section and finger styled (similar to shingling product through and coiling the hair but in bigger sections) while separating curls slightly to create defined curls. At the time, my hair was still in box braids. I was so excited to get home and take out my braids so that I could try the product. The second demonstration was done on Eboni of fashionista-next-door.com. Eboni has a slightly looser texture than Myisha.

The next day after taking my braids out, I tried Pillow Soft Curls on freshly washed and conditioned hair for a wash and go! It really does smell like fabric softener and left a smooth scent on my hair. It wasn't sticky nor was my hair crunchy. I still had movement and a healthy shine to my hair.
